Special event top split debut for Apex Tech. LMP2 team clinches third in IVRA Grand Championship.

Apex Tech Racing entered three cars into the 2022 iRacing Nürburgring 24, all three driving the new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 car. Car #15 made the top split, making history for Apex Tech Racing and coming home p8 after a gruelling 12 hours each in the car. There were two strong showings in split 2 of the main time slot, with the #013 scoring a top 5 and a collaboration with friends from former team GTN Racing close behind in p7.

Despite a disappointing final round in the GSI Endurance Series by IVRA, the LMP2 team held on to third place in the Grand Championship, while the GTE team returned to secure p8. This rounded out an outstanding first season at the top level of sports car competition, which saw Apex Tech’s debut win in the 1000km of Red Bull Ring. Jamie Conway, qualifying in the LMP2 car, came tantalisingly close to winning the GSI Velocity Prime Award, missing out by just 0.099 seconds after three qualifying sessions at three different circuits.
